Wakanda’s Army Supposed To Wear HulkBuster Suits:
Avengers: Infinity War is now a distant memory. The cinematic masterpiece that was the Infinity War saga started with Avengers: Infinity War and ended with Avengers: Endgame. The two-part continuation gave us a definite farewell to the saga of all Marvel Studios movies that came before it. It also saw us bid adieu to a lot of superheroes we had grown to love and adore. Some Superheroes who became prominent characters latter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe like Doctor Strange and Black Panther will be taking lead roles in the Marvel Pantheon from now. Whilst talking about Black Panther, let us talk about another interesting subject. Early concept arts reveal that Marvel originally wanted the army that Black Panther led to war against Thanos and his Outrider army was supposed to be fully comprised of Armoured Exoskeleton wielding warriors. Presenting – Infinity War – Wakanda’s Army originally supposed to wear Hulk-Buster like suits!!!
Marvel has just released the visual guidebook for Avengers: Endgame. The concept art in the book reveals that Avengers: Infinity War could have been completely different. The handbook unveils a lot of projects that never saw the light of day. But the one we are focussing on as of right now is the Wakandan Armoured Super Soldier that looks so damn cool! While we know for a fact that Wakanda is filled with wondrous technology beyond our wildest imaginations, this is something we cannot ignore.
A lot of super-advanced tech was not shown to the audience in the theatres. The armor clearly takes the cake. The possibility that each Wakandan soldier had the strength, durability, and speed of the Hulk Buster armor is something Thanos would have had a hard time dealing with.
Here is the video of the handbook that has the image we are talking about:
The artwork shows that the artists kept the cultural heritage of Africa intact while they were designing the armor. The exoskeleton suit had tinges of Wakandan craftsmanship spilt everywhere from the base of the legs to the mask. The face mask of the exoskeleton even had elements African Tribal fear-monger masks and they were so beautifully ingrained into the armor’s design that it was hard to differentiate where the machine ended and the man began. Fausto De Martini who designed the suit wanted the exoskeleton to radiate Wakanda through all its sides. And radiate it did!!!
But Martini did not stop there. He also led the design team who were tasked with creating an authentic robot that was distinctly Wakandan by look but extremely agile and deadly in the battle-field. Fausto De Martini created the Robot Panther – the four legged Hunter-Killer of the Battlefield. A robotic Panther like this, fitted with the best of sensors and weapons arrays that Wakanda has to offer, would have been a force of nature in the war against Thanos. Too bad Fausto De Martini’s designs were not approved by the Studio. The Visual Handbook has a lot of other interesting artworks that were also rejected from being materialized. It’s a shame really.
The Last Solo Marvel movie to be released under the Disney banner is Spider-Man: Far From Home. The movie is currently in theatres. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:
Peter Parker’s relaxing European vacation takes an unexpected turn when Nick Fury shows up in his hotel room to recruit him for a mission. The world is in danger as four massive elemental creatures — each representing Earth, air, water and fire — emerge from a hole torn in the universe. Parker soon finds himself donning the Spider-Man suit to help Fury and fellow superhero Mysterio stop the evil entities from wreaking havoc across the continent.
Avengers: Endgame released on the 26th of April, 2019. The official film synopsis of the movie has been released and it states:
“After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.”
Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I’m a dog chasing cars. I wouldn’t know what to do with one if I caught it! You know, I just… do things
