Spider-Man: Far From Home Take Place After Avengers: Endgame
Back when Kevin Feige and co announced Spider-Man: Far From Home, they said that it will take place just minutes after Endgame. Then coming into the movie, it felt like things had settled down. People got back to their normal lives, and they had accepted whatever happened in the last 5-6 years. The heroes saved the Universe, and things went back to normal. In these normal un-happening times, Quentin Beck and Co devised a plan and created a new mirage called Mysterio.
Team Mysterio really was genius as they spent months orchestrating a plan to isolate Peter Parker, get EDITH glasses and be finally seen as true heroes, that they believed they were. Now you may be thinking how many months to be exact? Well, they probably had their eyes on EDITH right when Tony Stark made it during the time of Infinity War. But then, Thanos snapped everyone out of existence for 5 years. We imagine that their plan would’ve been put on halt as some of the Team Mysterio members would have also been dusted.
The plan only could have been back in formation with the Blip. Upon knowing what had happen, Team Mysterio’s narrator, Guderman would have come up with the Multiversal theory that fooled everyone. But the plan that Mysterio had on play took at least 8 months. How do we know this? Well, right in the beginning of the film, it is stated that the events of the movie take place 8 months after Hulk brought everyone back.
Spider-Man: Far From Home takes place in the summer of 2024 as it seems. Betty (Angourie Rice), who does the daily news reports for her school talks about how The Blip played out, impacting billions of lives all across America and the globe. She states that 8 months ago a band of brave heroes brought everyone back.
(Such disrespect to Hulk. He is the one who brought everyone back, and doesn’t even get mentioned. Perhaps the specifics of the blip may not have been disclosed to public. And what is it with the Spider-Man franchise & 8. Homecoming had a wrongful 8 year time gap, and now it is 8 months. Perhaps it’s related to the spider’s legs.)
Then Betty further goes on to say that the students had to redo their whole year even though they’d given their mid-terms back when they were all disintegrated. This puts the timeline in the summer of 2024, or probably a bit earlier than that. So, this brings us to the thought of how the other heroes would have fared in the meanwhile.
When will all these projects – The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Doctor Strange 2 – take place? Will they all be before Spider-Man: Far From Home? That would certainly rid Marvel of the problem of explaining where did Spider-Man go, and what happened after his identity was revealed to the world. Because in these projects taking place after Endgame, the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home haven’t yet taken place.
And that brings us to the idea of WandaVision being the show that displaces Spider-Man out of Marvel’s Universe. Perhaps whatever happens in the show and Doctor Strange 2, sends Spider-Man into a different Universe. And all of a sudden, he can’t even state the Avengers, or whatever are the norms of Disney-Sony fallout are.
Let’s see how Sony will handle things from here on out. Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Zendaya (Michelle Jones), Jake Gyllenhaal (Mysterio), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Marisa Tomei (May Parker), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), Angourie Rice (Betty, Jacob Batalon (Ned), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), and Numan Acar (Dmitri).
Here’s the official Synopsis:
“Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!”
